The obesity weight in children is rapidly growing; about 1 in 3 kids is considered obese. The obesity rate is continuing to grow mostly because of video games, less motivation, too much calorie intake, etc. honestly, it’s crucial for kids to be fit. Especially important because they can build good healthy fitness habits when they are young, it will help them grow big and strong, help them with their self esteem (contrary to belief), good character (honesty, patience, etc.).
Here are some kids fitness ideas:
Buy a Wii fit, why not incorporate the love of video games and sports/fitness? Thanks to the Wii fit, kids can exercise but still have fun.
Why not have them play a sport with a team? They’ll meet other kids, get fit, learn different skills, and it has been proven that kids who play sports do better when it comes to academics.
Another idea is to get fun but healthy food! Instead of a greasy pizza, why not try a low-fat veggie pizza? Or instead of soda and candy, why not some fiber cookies and milk? Kids should be kids, but have the essentials wen it comes to nutrition.
Lastly, play with them. Whether it’s a good game of ball or tag; they are more likely to be motivated and have fun if you are with them, encouraging them.
These are some kids fitness ideas, but there are so many other ways depending on the child. Just 30 minutes of exercise can help so much.
